Layout file for OSA articles based on osajnl.cls

Post by ronald611 »

Hi,

I'd like to write a scientific article for the Optical Society of America (OSA), in particular the journal JOSA A. However, there's no matching layout file. There has been a corresponding thread on this subject in 2013 at http://www.latex-community.org/forum/vi ... OSA#p76260 and a solution based on the OSA style file osajnl.sty, however, this file is obsolete and no longer supported by OSA. As of October 2015, there's the new LaTeX2e class file osajnl.cls available on this website:
https://www.osapublishing.org/submit/te ... efault.cfm

The archive AO_JOSA_OL-LaTeX.zip also contains the example file OSA-journal-template.tex, but tex2lyx cannot translate it.

How can I get LyX to generate a PDF that looks like the LaTeX2e output of OSA-journal-template.tex? I would suggest adding a corresponding layout file to the LyX Examples.

Regards,
Ron
