Highlighting and copying in LyX 2.14 for Windows

Post by rambobender »

Recently, my old copy of LyX broke, and I had to download and reinstall the newest version (2.14, on Windows 7). Since that time, I have been experiencing strange behavior with the copy/paste function. It seems that any text I highlight (either with the mouse or by holding shift and the arrow keys) is automatically copied to the clipboard, even when I do not press Ctrl+C. Sometimes, LyX seems even to copy large chunks of text to the clipboard even when I do not highlight it, for instance when I scroll through a large amount of material.

Is there a way to turn this behavior off? Am I missing something very simple? It does not seem to matter what keybindings file I use. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

We see some reports about this on Windows, but I've never seen this on Ubuntu. Do you happen to have a clipboard manager installed? Weird things can happen apparently if you do.
