Cannot suppress subsections in TOC with LyX+Memoir

Post by scorwin »

Hi--

I have been going crazy trying to suppress subsections in the TOC of a book I'm writing with LyX+Memoir (+LuaTeX). I have set the LyX sliders so that subsections should not appear, and added various commands to my preamble such as \settocdepth{section}, \setcounter{tocdepth}{1}, \maxtocdepth{section}, \addtocontents{toc}{\protect\setcounter{tocdepth}{1}}, and so on, but nothing works. I have tried \tableofcontents, \tableofcontents*, \tableofcontents[hideallsubsection], etc. I can stop the numbering of subsections (which I don't want), but I can't get them out of the TOC. I'm not using hyperref at all, so that can't be the problem. Any idea what else I can try?

Thanks,

Steve
