How to install hobby package in LATEX?

Recommended reading 2024:

LaTeXguide.org • LaTeX-Cookbook.net • TikZ.org

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

And: Currently, Packt sells ebooks for $4.99 each if you buy 5 of their over 1000 ebooks. If you choose only a single one, $9.99. How about combining 3 LaTeX books with Python, gnuplot, mathplotlib, Matlab, ChatGPT or other AI books? Epub and PDF. Bundle (3 books, add more for higher discount): https://packt.link/MDH5p

hobby is included in both, TeX Live and MikTeX as package hobby and can be installed using the respective package manager.

Using the installation coming with a Linux distribution, you have to install package texlive-pictures (or similar) using the package manager of your linux distribution.

An up to date LaTeX3 kernel will be needed as well.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

No, sorry, i am not able to guide you. I have no idea where you are stuck, which operating system you are using, i am not even sure you have a working installation right now.

Is somebody near you who can give you some personal training? That would be the most trivial and most efficient approach.
