General ⇒ progress bar in beamer

Hi, I'm wondering how to make progress bar disappear when using a theme. I can make the footline disappear by \setbeamertemplate{footline}{} and navigations by \setbeamertemplate{navigation symbols}{}. But how to do it to progress bar??
