RevTex: grouping authors

Post by tno »

Hello,

I am using RevTex 4, and would like to display authors into two groups:
1) group of main authors
2) names of the collaborators.
It should show something like:
AuthorA^1*, AuthorB^1, AuthorC^2
affiliation of authorA and B,
affiliation of authorC,

CollaboratorA^1
affiliation of collaboratorA
I don't want to have Authors and Collaborators merged. Is that possible with revtex? How?
Thanks in advance,

Hi and welcome, can you show us the code you already have? Helping is faster if one has some code to test, no need to set up a sand box myself.

Revtex is a journal template, i would first ask the publishers if this is ok. Would be a pity if we invest time, and they revert the changes.

Hi,
thanks for your reply. In fact, I have seen papers having this format in the past so I assume this can still be done. Perhaps I should contact the editor about this.
A working template is provided by the editor:

I checked the docs of RevTeX, but didn't find anything on that matter.
Thanks!

Doing this means some serious hacking of the file osajnl4-1.rtx. Please ask the editor for advice.
