LyX ⇒ Changing cross-reference texts

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way in Lyx to adjust the manner of referencing floats. In the document I am working on, I have references such as "... Figure 5 on page 3" in which page 3 is the page the text is on, and so is the figure, making the 'on page..' redundant.

Is there a way to remove this 'on page' business while keeping the 'Figure 5'? I see the other options will have it something as simple as (5) but nothing just as 'Figure 5'.

Hi and welcome,
you can check out packages cleverref and
varioref. They provide features for clever
referencing. Instead of »on page x« a string is output,
depending on the language, for example »Figure 5 on this page« or
»Figure 6 on the next page«.
