Post by elsp87 »

I'm using JabRef, which handles bibTeX files, and I want to make citings as in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywfRYb_TD4A this video explains
But when trying to see the resulting PDF, I see errors like these.

Anyone can explain a little bit how to solve this sort of problem or make it clear for a beginner how to approach a solution? Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome,

we are a bit short on LyX experts right now, and i don't have experience with LyX. I'll jump the gun anyways.

Seems like there are the most basic classes and packages missing on your system, or LyX cannot find them.

Do you have a TeX distribution (like TeX Live or MikTeX) installed?

I think LyX can reconfigure itself somehow. Try reconfigure under Tools.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
