General ⇒ Commands in russian

I try to type TeX commands with russian letters in TeXnicCenter 2.02 under Windows 7.
(For example such commands are presented in the package russ.sty http://www.ctan.org/pkg/russ)
When I type backslash the editor immediately changes the russian symbols into some strange ones.
