progressbar Beamer theme: Errors trying to build an adapted

Post by ablatex »

Hello, LaTeX Community!

I have the following question (also posted on TeX.sx: http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/ ... ed-example.)

I'm very new to `LaTeX`, so sorry, if this question is too trivial. I'm using the following code to build a sample presentation, based on the progressbar Beamer theme and its demo code:

Code: Select all

\usepackage[english] {babel}
\usepackage[T1]      {fontenc}

\usepackage{amsmath, amsfonts, graphicx}
\usepackage{bibunits, tikz}

\graphicspath{{./}{images/}{/home/ruser/diss-floss/figures/}}

\usetheme{progressbar}
\progressbaroptions{imagename=LogoNSU}

\setbeamersize
  {text margin left=1em, text margin right=1em}

\title

Please note that my changes in this demo document currently are limited to the following:
  1. \graphicspath{{./}{images/}{/home/ruser/diss-floss/figures/}}
  2. \progressbaroptions{imagename=LogoNSU}
  3. \includegraphics[height=\dimexpr11\textheight/16\relax]{ggplot2ExamplePlot}
    \caption{Sample ggplot2 plot}
The build process is mainly successful, but it produces the following messages:

Code: Select all

! Package pgfkeys Error: I do not know the key '/pb/imagename' and I am going t
o ignore it. Perhaps you misspelled it.

See the pgfkeys package documentation for explanation.
Type H <return> for immediate help.
 ...

l.10 \progressbaroptions{imagename=LogoNSU}

?
After I press <Enter> key, the process completes, but it fails to replace the default theme's picture (tree04.jpg) with my custom one (LogoNSU.jpg). Here's the corresponding log excerpt:

Code: Select all

[1

{/var/lib/texmf/fonts/map/pdftex/updmap/pdftex.map} </usr/share/texmf/tex/latex
/beamer/themes/theme/images/tree04.jpg>]
No file demo-slides.toc.
[2

 </usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/beamer/themes/theme/images/tree04.jpg>]
Why is this happening? Also, some visual elements are distorted. For example fonts in my version are not as solid as in the original example. Finally, text in text blocks on pages `Credits` and `Questions` is completely missing (blocks are empty). Your help is much appreciated!

My environment:

Code: Select all

pdfTeX 3.1415926-2.5-1.40.14 (TeX Live 2013/Debian)
kpathsea version 6.1.1
Compiled with libpng 1.2.49; using libpng 1.2.50
Compiled with zlib 1.2.8; using zlib 1.2.8
Compiled with poppler version 0.24.5

Your help will be greatly appreciated!
