Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me how to install a Latex editor on linux mint 16.
Downloaded Tex maker and Texstudio. when its time to compile i get a message the log file cant be found and it cant complie.

Did you install a TeX-distribution?

Did you save the file with the extension tex?
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

Hello! I have the same problem. I have installed tex-live, but mathtext.sty is missing and I can't figure out where to find it.

Okay, I have installed texlive-full, which took about 1.5 hours and a lot of my patience, but everything seems to work now.
