LyX ⇒ Basic doubts

Hello everyone,

I am pretty new in using LyX and I would appreciate your help. I have some basic doubts about it:

1. I want to write my master thesis using it, which Document class do you think is the most adequate? Article?

2. How do I insert a figure/graph? What I am doing is: Insert/Graphics. Is this the correct way to do it?
