Modifying Equation Formatting

Post by hailey »

Hello,

I wish to change the layout of my equations for a report I am writing as the required equation format is as follows:

Eq.1 equation [1]

Where the equation number is flush with the left, the actual equation is centered and a citation for the equation is flush with the right.

Is there a way to implement a package or change an existing one so that the equations are displayed in this way, while LaTeX still automatically numbers the equations?

Thanks!
