Text Formatting ⇒ text in paragraph formating

Hello all,
I have problem on how to format text in paragraph.Here I mean that for example to insert a small space between the dot and the starting word.

or should I insert it manually?

The great oracle, our admin Stefan suggested, that you might want french spacing ornonfrenchspacing, respectively.
