Advice on drawing circuit diagram

Post by rparimi »

Hello,

I explored many examples in the tikz package but didn't find anything that can help me draw the attached diagram in latex. Can someone post tips on how to draw the attached image in latex?

Many thanks

Advice on drawing circuit diagram

There are several possibilities for drawing such diagrams. Using the circuit macros, for example, you might use something like the following code:

Code: Select all

.PS
cct_init
  arrow down dimen_/3 then right_ dimen_*2/3 "$I_i$" above
  { line up_ dimen_*2/3 with .c at Here; "$V_i$" above }
  arrowline(right_ dimen_*2/3)
  { down_; resistor(,,E); rlabel(,0.5y_{i0}); ground(,T) }
  right_; resistor(,,E); llabel(,y_{ij}); b_current(I_g)
  { down_; resistor(,,E); llabel(,0.5y_{j0}); ground(,T) }
  line right_ dimen_*2/3
  { line up dimen_*2/3 with .c at Here; "$V_j$" above }
  arrow <- right dimen_*2/3 "$I_j$" above
  line up dimen_/3
.PE

Advice on drawing circuit diagram

Since you have started using TikZ and explored it to draw the circuit diagram, you should definitely take a look at circuitikz.

OS: Debian/GNU Linux; LaTeX System : TeXLive; Editor : Vim

rparimi, I think a better way to make this circuit diagram would be to use macros because you can reuse them again and again and easily change a module within your diagram if you need to in future. Anyways, tikz package is helpful too in many circumstances and the link shared above is a great wiki for tikz package information.
