When I try to Build and View so I can make a pdf file, it just says Failed to find file "C\Users\..." with the rest not shown. I have no experience with Latex but I have tried looking through posts in forums with similar problems but I can't find anything. Really starting to irritate me since I need to use this program for my class.

Just by looking at the error, I would say a path is set wrongly. Windows paths usually start with C:\...
My guess is you accidentally changed something in the editor settings, but it is really hard to know with the information you gave.
