bibliography in a independent shared file

Post by bitacovir »

I saw some examples of split documents into several LyX files with the bibliography in a independent shared file. How can I do this? I tried to read in the LyX.org but I could not understand which options allows this.

Recommended reading 2024:

LaTeXguide.org • LaTeX-Cookbook.net • TikZ.org

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

And: Currently, Packt sells ebooks for $4.99 each if you buy 5 of their over 1000 ebooks. If you choose only a single one, $9.99. How about combining 3 LaTeX books with Python, gnuplot, mathplotlib, Matlab, ChatGPT or other AI books? Epub and PDF. Bundle (3 books, add more for higher discount): https://packt.link/MDH5p

In LyX, go to Insert List/TOC > BiBTeX bibliography. As far as how to make a BiBTeX bibliography, there are many resources online.

Sorry, maybe is my bad English but that is not my question. I already studied how to use Bibtex in LyX and I already learned how to insert a bibliography. But always the tutorials show how to do it in the same document-file. I saw a thesis where you have a file with the chapter with citations like (Gandemer 2013) and in other independent file the bibliography, and a top-level file where everything (chapters, titles, bibliogrtaphy, etc. is linked) I don't know how do that link between citations in chapters with the bibliography in another LyX file.
