Control over Area and Position of Frame Title

In beamer I want the following.
  1. I need to adjust the position of the frame title in the frame title area according to whatever I wish.
  2. Is it possible to control the area, where the frame title appears, as well?
As a typical theme, for example, one can consider the "Copenhagen" theme, where the frame title appears in a separate area.

N.B. I do not want to compromise with the font size.
