I start to work with kile just recently.
Whenever I make a mistake in kile, it stops working. even if I correct the mistake, it does not work. I make some errors deliberately, and then fix them. It won't work.
I have to close kile and reopen it again.
I have the same problem with TeXmaker.
I hope somebody can help me. it is really annoying.

Re: TeXmaker and Kile do not compile after correction
Editing your document and compiling it are two defferent steps. I am not sure, of Texmaker and Kile are running in nonstopmode, but once you run into an error, you need to quit the compilerrun, correct your error, SAVE and try again.
I hope this solves your problem, if not, please state your problem more verbose.

The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
Re: TeXmaker and Kile do not compile after correction
I'm also having the same problem with Kile running on Ubuntu...
Every time there is a compilation error, I'm forced to completely close Kile and re-open it in order for it to compile again. I've been dealing with this for months and I haven't been able to find a solution, so I just logged-in here hoping to get some help.
So far the only answer in this thread refers to nonstopmode and quitting the compilerrun, both of wich I'm not really familiar with and haven't found anything about them on Kile...
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: TeXmaker and Kile do not compile after correction
So I've manage to change the 'nonstopmode' option and tried 'scrollmode' and 'batchmode' instead, but it didn't make any difference.
I also realised hat the compiler was indeed stuck so one can click on 'stop' from the 'build' menu... but that doesn't help either!
After the compilation sent by Kile ends in an error, one can't compile again from Kile unless one closes and opens it again. One can still edit and save the tex file though...
Apologies if this comments refering to Kile are misplaced on this TeXmaker section, but I only realised of that after my first post and it really is a follow-up of the previous posts.
Cheers
