Does Lyx work on Windows 8?

Postby Eximia » Wed Apr 24, 2013 5:35 am

Hi!
Does anyone know whether Lyx works on Windows 8 64-bit? I'm about to purchase a new computer and I really need Lyx. At the moment I'm not going to install Linux (in the future I perhaps will).

Good question. I'm not sure. I haven't heard any complaints. If you don't hear anything hear, you can send an email to lyx-users@lists.lyx.org. Since you mentioned interest in Linux, you can always use a virtual machine. It's very easy to set up. This way you could install Windows but use Linux inside of it if you wanted to.
