Effects of different Labels

Post by minidiable »

Hi to all,

I would like to understand what is the difference between writing this:

Code: Select all

\begin{figure}[h]
   \centering
   \includegraphics[width=150mm]{pics/DeportanceForces.eps}
   \caption{Plot of the Forces on 3 axis (xyz) and of the Yaw Angle}
   \label{pics:deportance}
\end{figure}
and this:

Code: Select all

\begin{figure}[h]
   \centering
   \includegraphics[width=150mm]{pics/DeportanceForces.eps}
   \caption{Plot of the Forces on 3 axis (xyz) and of the Yaw Angle}
   \label{fig:deportance}
\end{figure}
Thanks a lot,
Fab.

Effects of different Labels

Hi,

the label is a thing completely given by you. You can call them everything you want. If you choose fig or pic is your decision, but you should keep it that way and stay consistent.

Best regards
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
