LyX ⇒ Problem in generating PDF Output in Lyx 2.0.5.1

Hi,
I installed the latest version of lyx 2.0.5.1 full package. In my computer, I have Adobe Reader X, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, Adobe Acrobat Distiller XI. After installing lyx, it was working perfectly, it generated pdf file output. However, after 4 or 5 times generating output, when I clicked update icon, it continued run for long time but didn't generate pdf output. The program was running without output. During that time I cannot close the file as well as program it says "Document could not be closed because it is being processed by Lyx". However, after a long time, the lyx asked question like "The command pdflatex "splash" has not completed? Do you want to stop it? with two command icons Stop it, Let it run. Even clicking 'let it run' didn't generate pdf output.

Could anybody suggest what should do to fix this type of problem?

welcome to the LaTeX community.

It is difficult to say what the issue is without an actual document at hand. Did you make changes to the document before reprocessing? Does it work again if you undo the changes? What does the log-file say?

Hi, I ran into the same problem. I think it has to do with the administrator setting with Windows. What I did was search for the LyX exe file. If you have the shortcut in the desktop, just right click then open file location. If not, it's in AppData\Local\LyX 2.0\bin.
Then you right click on the LyX.exe file, properties. Go to compatibility, then check the box for "Run this program as an administrator" under Privilege Level. If you want, also "Change settings for all users". Click OK, restart your Lyx, then your problem should be solved now.
