Texmaker and TeXstudio ⇒ Reporting a bug
Reporting a bug
I try to report a bug in Texmaker 4.01 and I am accused of sending spam. Bad support. I'll have to look for another editor. Any suggestions? My OS is Windows 7.
NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.
Re: Reporting a bug
well, TeXstudio would be the classic choice to switch to from Texmaker

Re: Reporting a bug
This "user" has sent bug reports about Texmaker 4.0.2 ... which has never existed. The proof is attached.

Re: Reporting a bug
I see now that I wrote a wrong version number. This was not my intention. My excuses for that. Fact is that the bug exists since version 4.01. I just wanted to report that.

A bug that only you has seen and which can't be reproduced...patje wrote: Fact is that the bug exists since version 4.01. I just wanted to report that.
Are you sure that you save the file with the .tex extension and not another one?
Re: Reporting a bug
I'm on Windows 7 and I've tested. There is no trouble. Syntax highlighting works fine after saving a document.

I uninstalled Texmaker and reinstalled it. Now the problem is solved. I think I did not uninstall the previous version before installing version 4.01. Maybe this caused th problem.
