XeTeX ⇒ Fatal Format File Error

Salve,

I updated my TeX Live to TeX Live 2013 and I can't use XeLaTeX any more, because when compile my code this is message:

I compile my XeLaTeX code with TeXworks and I use Fedora 18.

This is no official release. TL2013 is officially planned for July 2013. Development versions are not suited for productive use.

I guess this "TeX Live 2013/dev" is a Fedora version, not the official TeX Live. There's not even a pretest version of TL 2013. Since Fedora follows the standard TeX Live, you could also install TeX Live 2012 and be up-to-date. Or is there a reason why you updated? You could keep all packages up-to-date with TL 2012 too.

If you cannot install a stable version from the Fedora repositories, I recommend to install the stable standard TeX Live version. Have a look at the article Installing TeX Live on Linux which was written using Fedora.

Hi,

I did as you suggested but I had to download 2616 files for more three hours and I gave up. I'll be using LaTeX.
