Content and Sorting Order of References

Post by Bert_C »

At the moment I'm writing my master's thesis in LaTeX, and I encounter a couple of problems:
  • If I add a book to BibTeX, for example:

    Code: Select all

    @book{schweiger2001principles,
      title={Principles of Pulse Electron Paramagnetic Resonance},
      author={Schweiger, A. and Jeschke, G.},
      year={2001}
      publisher={Oxford University Press}
    }
    it clearly shows a publisher-field. But in my bibliography I only get the following reference:
    [1] A. Schweiger and G. Jeschke, Principles of Pulse Electron Paramagnetic Resonance. 2001.
    So the publisher doesn't seem to appear. I use ieeetr as bibliography style.
  • For some reason, there are a couple of references that go all the way up in my reference list; while they should be the 50th reference. This is really annoying, because the first reference in my thesis has number 5.
Do you know any solutions for these problems? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I just found out that if I enter a reference in a subsection or subsubsection, these references will get the first numbers. Is there a way to undo this?
