Why is the (official) thesis template not math friendly?

Post by lyxrocks »

I mean the template that comes with the program, the one in

\Program Files (x86)\LyX20\Resources\templates\thesis

There is no preset formats for theorem or lemma etc, this is driving me nuts!!!

Is there anyway to add the common AMS latex formats to it? formats like theorem/lemma/proof etc.

I included the template as attachment.

Recommended reading 2024:

LaTeXguide.org • LaTeX-Cookbook.net • TikZ.org

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

And: Currently, Packt sells ebooks for $4.99 each if you buy 5 of their over 1000 ebooks. If you choose only a single one, $9.99. How about combining 3 LaTeX books with Python, gnuplot, mathplotlib, Matlab, ChatGPT or other AI books? Epub and PDF. Bundle (3 books, add more for higher discount): https://packt.link/MDH5p

ok i got it figured out, it is math friendly, it is not noob friendly tho :p

all you need to do is add the Theorem(AMS) module in both the parent and the child file, through document->settings->Modules
