More text styles

Post by littlegolem »

I wonder why there aren't more text styles in LyX to choose from? I want to add my institution, my program, profile as well as the abbreviation "ISRN" before the title of a report I am writing, but there aren't any suitable text style to choose from. I think this should be in the before text section, since it comes before the main body of text, but everything I can choose from there is title, author, date, abstract, address and right address. Why aren't there more options that that? How should I do; what style should I choose for the text I want to add?

More text styles

Hi,

welcome to the board!

You could create your own title page, where you could place the texts as you like. LyX and LaTeX offer a default style, commonly useful, but it's not a must to use it. When \maketitle does not fit, I use the {titlepage} environment to write my own title page.
