Unable to Updte Formats or Refresh FNDB
I attempted to update formats in the MiKTEX 2.9 Maintenance Settings after a new install and received the following error message.

Hi,
welcome to the board!
I guess there's still a process of MiKTeX running which blocks the update. End it and try again. See this older thread with the same error message and solution.
