As I type in TeXnic, the program gives me hints ... when I type "\sec", a hint of "\section{}" shows up below. But I can't seem to make use of the hint. Normally I'd press some key and accept the hint, but none that I've tried work, and I can't seem to find anything in help.

Thanks. So, how did you know that? I looked & looked, must have been looking in the wrong places.

Using TeXnic hints
Hi Bill,
you will find it in the menu: Edit -> Complete Word.
You can read it on the TeXnicCenter homepage too: The TeXnicCenter Cookbook for Auto-Completion (menu: Help -> HowTo).
