How to get Lyx work with Skim ?

Post by lyxer »

Hi all,

I've just switched to a new Mac, and I'm using Lyx 2.0.2.
I wanted to use Skim instead of acrobat reader, however,
whenever I compile the lyx file the "Preview" app in my mac
opens and displays the document.

How can I have the document open with skim?

I checked out the Lyx wiki site which instructs to add the line:
open -a skim.app $$i in the preferences, but with no luck. Still
every time the "Preview" app displays the document?

Any help is appreciated.

It's working now. I have no idea why?

I just entered the command: open -a skim.app $$i
in Lyx -> pref -> FileFormat -> viewer and it worked.

All previous attempts (4-5 times) failed though.

The funny thing is that when I go back to FileFormat -> viewer
I don't see anything in the box. It's basically empty but it
works and skim opens every time.
