LyX error: Cannot view DVI File
Hello friends, I am very new to the LaTeX environment. I need it for my thesis. I am using Windows 7 and i am getting some error. I have uploaded a image for that. Kindly let me know what i am doing wrong. I just type something and i go in View-> DVI..and it gives me the error. Many thanks...

welcome to the board!
It would be good if you would provide more information. Just mentioning that you type some code is not sufficient to let us help you. You did not even mention that you use LyX, I just see it in the screenshot.
If you have got problems, please tell us the error message and which code you wrote.
Btw. I strongly recommend to use LaTeX and a LaTeX editor, such as TeXworks, instead of LyX, for writing a thesis. LyX is good for quickly getting nice results, but it's hard if you would like to produce an advanced document with own customizations.
We've got a LyX subforum, you could post your LyX questions there.
