Refresh PDF Output

Post by Hugosar »

Hello to all,

I've been using LaTeX for a couple of weeks now and one thought I came across was that it would be great to have the PDF output file updated instead of having to close it and build again the *.tex file. In this very forum I found out that Sumatra would be the best software for what I intended to do. My problem is that now (I already have Sumatra defined as predefined viewer in TeXnicCenter's building options) every time I try to see this refresh feature in action, after building the *.tex file another Sumatra window opens with the refreshed version instead of updating the previous one. More surprising is that when I see the one which was already open, it actually was updated! Is there any way to refresh the PDF file without having another window opened?

Thanks in advance!
