I'm a newbie with respect to tex/latex and I'm in the process of teaching myself from the ground (tex) up (latex and lyx). I have just completed going through "A Gentle Introduction To Tex" and did many of the examples, all of which I have in one .tex file. All of the exercises worked as expected, but I am getting an 'underfull' warning in the .log file.
It looks to me that the underfull error is related to filling a vbox on the first page. If I delete any lines from the input so that the output appears on a single page, the warning disappears.
I have attached the source file and the log file. The command I run is "tex hbadness.tex".
Can anyone help explain why I'm getting the underfull warning?
