Generic Document – Intelligent Export

Post by amtix »

Hello everyone,
i have been reading the topics in this forum for quite a long while now, and i must say i applaude the effort you all put into helping each other. You all helped me through a lot of trouble. But now i cant find any article that describes any solution to my problem.

See, in my company we currently offer 3 similar software solutions. These software packets require individual documentation, although they only differ in only very few situations. At the moment, we have therefore to maintain three different documentations. My goal is to create one generic document that holds the general parts (valid for all three softwares) and having spots where i have multiple sets of text where the software packages differ. At the end, i just want to set a flag or so, click render and tadaa - i have my documentation for software 1. and then a flag for software 2. and 3.

do you think you can help me out this time? is there any known solution to this?

I guess you are searching for something like the versions package.

Best regards and welcome to the board
