Slow Builds and PDF Output

Post by srengam »

Hi all,

For some reason or other, since yesterday, whenever I hit Ctrl{F7} to build the document, their is a good 2 seconds before it starts, then when I hit F5 to see the pdf, it takes at least 2 seconds before starting that too.

Everything else is fine, but up until yesterday everything was very much instantaneous.

Any ideas?

Many thanks.

No, since you neglected to tell us what LaTeX system you're using and what operating system you're using. :)
System: TeX Live 2012, Fedora 18 x86_64, GNU Emacs 24.2

LOL, sorry.

It's only been doing it for the one document, and I was able to trace it back to the addition of a picture.

It seems it is the picture slowing it down.
