Text Formatting ⇒ Citation Labels

Hello all,

I am using the alpha bibliography with BibTeX and the document class is book.
I want to show my citation labels in the text body smaller then the original text size. Now they are shown in the text body as [DE] but i want to show them like [DE]...

Is there a way to do what I want without changing the bibliography type or still using the BibTeX?
