Importing LyX in SWP

Post by xbsgs »

Hi! I'm sort of new around here and am desperately looking for help with this issue. I have been working on a LyX document which I need to import into SWP, since that is the program my colleague works with and pretty much everyone at the university uses. I am able to export the LyX file into the different versions of LaTeX LyX can export to, but whenever I open them in SWP, the whole document is pretty messed up. I understad you would not expect it to be typeset exactly the same way it is typeset in LyX, however, the file I'm able to see in SWP is not at all what is expected. One of the things that happens, is all the accents and "uncommon" characters are gone, even though the file is encoded in UTF8. I really don't know what to do to have a seamless import into SWP. Has anyone had any success doing this? I would really appreciate any help I can get!
