authblk | Display Author Affiliation as Footnote

Post by emonier »

Hi everyone,

I am using the authblk package and would like to display the affiliations as footnote (as in bottom of the page). I know there is what is called a "footnote mode" where the authors are displayed in a line with footnote markers for the affiliations, yet in this mode the affiliations are shown right below the authors and not at the bottom of the page as actual footnotes. The authblk package seems perfect for me since I need to juggle with multiple authors, multiple affiliations and I would like to make it automatic since other people would use my template.

I've considered trying to renew the \affil command but I am not very confident I can figure out how to a introduce a footnote command. I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks,
