Others ⇒ PDFLaTeX deletes EPS Files

I have just downloaded MaCTeX 2011 and installed it on my Mac. When I run PDFLaTeX on a *.tex file it deletes the EPS files, say x.eps, and replaces them with PDF files, say x-converted-to.pdf. How do I stop this deletion from happening, I still want my EPS files.

It should not be deleting the EPS files, although it will convert EPS to PDF, i.e. you should end up with both an EPS and PDF files. Can you post your log?

Hum... I am using \usepackage{grffile} now and all works... I don't know why this was no the case before.
