problem including figures of all types

Post by KMc »

I'm completely new to all of LaTeX, so I could be making a simple mistake, but it appear to me that TeXnicCenter is not recognizing the command \includegraphics. When I attempt to use use this to include an image, I get the following error:

! Undefined control sequence.
l.140 \includegraphics

Why would this be, and how can I resolve this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi KMc,

welcome to the LaTeX Community board!
You just have to use the graphicx package. Write into your document preamble:

Code: Select all

\usepackage{graphicx}
You will find the documentation of the graphicx package here.
