Package Installation in TeXnicCenter causes Problems

Post by darkbizan »

I have found a problem when running tecnix center. I have isntalled adobe reader 10,miktek 2.9 and tecnix center in windows 7. Everything goes fine until I use the packages tikz, pgf and graphicxsp. I know pgf is installed and graphicxsp is installed too. But I cannot find tikz in the package manager. The problem is that the pdf reader doesnt pop up, or if it pop ups it doesnt reflect the changes in the document.

Do you have any suggestion, solution?

Package Installation in TeXnicCenter causes Problems

The »tikZ« package is part of the pgf bundle, thus it is also installed. From the rest of your description it is not clear where the problem is. If everything is installed as you said, it should work fine. Otherwise you may face a well known issue of TeXnicCenter (TXC) with the current version of MiKTeX [1]. So, either try the suggested remedy or another editor.

I tried the remedy to that common issue and now it works perfectly. Thanks a lot.
