Document Classes ⇒ Questions regarding Beamer

Hello,

I am preparing a presentation in Beamer and I have two questions:

1. In the upper left corner there is a list of all sections. As I have many sections this takes too much space. Is there a way to have only say the 3 last sections exhibited?

2. I have a slide with 3 pause commands. I am interested that the whole slide is shown first in gray and then when I press the spacebar the text in the corresponding part becomes black. How do I do it?
