LyX ⇒ Configuring Box/Minipage paragraph vertical spacing

Boxes/minipages obviously do not inherit the document's paragraph vertical spacing. Is there any way to override this behavior or redefine the vertical spacing at the box level?

I was unable to find any information about this in the documentation, and any other forum posts I could find were left unanswered.
