Can you reverse engineer a PDF document?

Post by Singularity »

Let's say (theoretically, of course) I had a PDF document which is formatted according to the guidelines I need to use (per my school). Is there a way to find out what document class and packages were used to create it? (I bet you have never been asked that before, huh?).

It will be like trying to break up a once baked cake into its ingredients.
