Persistent Warning from "natbib" Package

Post by msc »

I currently have a persistently recurring warning when building my thesis:

'Package natbib Warning: Citation(s) may have changed.'

No amount of reruns will get rid of it. The only source I have found on the issue is this: http://www.ctex.org/documents/packages/ ... bunits.pdf
In Section 1.2 of the above source it says:
Package natbib permanently issues a warning ‘Citation(s) may have changed.
Rerun to get citations correct.’, when the position of a reference in the global
bibliography is different from its position in the last local bibliography. This
warning can be ignored.
This seems like a reasonable explanation since I did rearrange the order of some of the entries in my .bib file to ensure alphabetical listing of references within the file. However, there must be some way of forcing the local bibliography to be updated. Alas, I have not met with any luck in this endeavour. Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Cheers.
