Hi Partha,
welcome to the board!
I've been in India several times, though not in Hyderabad. Only cities at the coast, when I was travelling with ships. The next TeX User Group meeting will be in Trivandrum, so this is perhaps another possibility.

I am happyt to see your message in the latex forum. I must thank you for creating and managing this extremely useful forum and community. I would love to meet you when you come to India next time. Give me an davanced notice (need this notice for booking train ticket). I have lived and worked in Trivandrum, although I find the India Tex Use Group to be not very friendly or helpful. Or you can also visit Hyderabad. You can even stay with me at my place (and clear my doubt and queries on Latex).
I have lived and worked in Germany, at the Tech Univ. Braunschweig. I visit Germany often because my daughter hs married a German from Stuttgart. I love Germany and the German people.
Have a nice day,
partha

I don't see Tamil in the PDF document yet.
I like you LaTeX page. It shows that you very much like it. Btw. if you would like to convice people to use LaTeX, some information here can help: Getting started with LaTeX.

You are right. What you saw is a "preview document".
I am now struggling with Xetex. I have a problem. The error I get is "package polyglossia not found". I use Xetext provided by Texlive 2009 which came bundled with my Suse 1.0 distro. I am now planning to install Texlive 2010 downloaded from Tex User Group. I will try and post the results on the web, if I succeed. Wish me good luck.

Thank you. Give me some suggestions to make it better and more
useful.
The "getting started with Latex" and your Latex beginners guide.
both from packt are priced publications. Linking to such sources
is a problem, because many people (including me) can't read it.

Re: Latex users in Hyderabad, India
The "Getting started" article is freely available. Or was it not possible for you to open the page and read the text? I like free software and free support, so I do my efforts for it too. Though printed books aren't free. If you tell me a publisher who prints for free, I would go there.
Regarding TeX Live, the version 2011 will appear soon. But you don't need to wait, the version 2010 can be upgraded then.
