I'm using Lyx-1.6 on Debian 64bit.
It works fine, but I have a problem when printing.
In the file '~./lyx/preferences I have the line:
\print_to_file "print_to_file"
that is written every time I save the preference from Lyx.
With this line I can not print. I get a window that tell me that the printer is not set.
If I delete the line, I can normally print (to printer using kprinter or to file).
What can I do?
(I would not delete the line every time I save the preference.)

Note that LyX 1.6 is yet only in early alpha status and I guess that it is quite difficult to solve any problems yet. However, you might try posting to the LyX mailing list.
