Installation of Christian Ridderström's CV — academic format

Post by karlitos »

Hello

I would like to create my own CV with LyX. I read the informations on the page http://wiki.lyx.org/Examples/CV and I really like the Christian Ridderström's CV — academic format

Unfortunately I am not able to get it to work together with LyX 1.6.9 on Ubuntu 10.04. Lucid Lynx.

At first I got some error messages, that Lyx is not able to find the appropriate class. After that I followed the instalation-instructions on the page. I copied the class file to /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/lyx and put the layout file to $HOME/.lyx/layouts directory. I also did the reconfigure Lyx from the menu.

Now I can see the Curriculum Vitae (JMarc) document class but there is (Unavailable). If I choose this class I got :
The lyout file requested by this document, cv_JMarc.layout is not usable. This is probably because a LaTeX class or style is required ...
Do not have any ideas what to fo. Anyone can help please ?

Thanks in advance K
