When will there be a new version of Scientific word?

Post by steve_656525 »

I looked at this software, but noticed there was no release or new version for 5 years or so now.

Is this software still being maintained?

I am worried about buying it now, because when I see a company that did not make a new release for this long, I think there is something wrong with it. They seem to have made some minor update 2 years ago.

any one has any ideas on this?

Steve

When will there be a new version of Scientific word?

Hello,
MacKichan Software is still supporting Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, and Scientific Notebook. They maintain an excellent forum for these products (http://forum.mackichan.com/). I have used Scientific WorkPlace for years; it is an excellent and useful software package. (Scientific WorkPlace = Scientific Word + a computer algebra engine. This engine is worth the extra money if you work in the mathematical sciences. I produced a video on some of the features of SW(P,N). If you are interested, I can send you the link by a private message.)
MacKichan Software advertised at some recent professional meetings that version 6 is coming.
Regards,
Tom Price
