Problem with greek symbol when converting to PDF

Post by KingGuru »

If I create a new dokument in lyx with "test λ" as only text I get the following error when trying to view as PDF.
error:
FONT LGR/cmr/m/n/10=grmn1000 at 10.0 pt not leadable: Metric(TFM) file not fo
description:

text \textgreek{l}

I wasn't able to read the size for this font,
so I will ignore the font spedification.
[Wizards can fix TFM files using TFtoPL/PLtoTF.]
You might try inserting a different font spec;
e.g., type `I\font<same font id>=<substitute font name>'.

I'm runing lyz 1.6.9 on Win 7 x64

I've tried to search the forum but didn't find a solution.

I can confirm same error in 1.6.7, however your problem is that you're not doing it the Lyx way:
Don't add the greek character lambda to the text as a special character, instead add it from the maths toolbar, or use the shortcut sequence:
Alt+M G L
